What slide gloves must be able to do
Slide gloves are characterized by various features. These include:
- Use of high-quality, durable materials, for example leather and neoprene
- Durable and replaceable pucks for the palms
- Reinforcements in the finger area
- Reflectors
If you decide to ride in the slide and downhill area, your gloves should definitely have all of these features. Otherwise, there is a very high risk of injury, which must of course be avoided.

While fast downhillers rely on safe leather gloves, freeriders appreciate the flexibility of neoprene gloves. As speeds are rarely as high as on downhill trails and it is more about maneuverability when riding, flexible slide gloves are the perfect choice.
However, not only the material, but also the look plays a major role for many longboarders. For this reason, slidegloves are now available in many different colors. The rule is: whatever you like is allowed.
Typical signs of wear and tear
It is quite normal for slidegloves to wear out over time. The pucks in particular will eventually wear out. For this reason, you can also buy replacement pads and pucks in our store. These can be easily attached to the gloves using Velcro fasteners and replaced at any time.
